So, you can see that one can enter Spiti Valley from one\u00a0 Shimla <\/a>side and exit Valley from manali back to Chandigarh make it the complete circuit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where is Rohtang Pass and Kunjum pass?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Rohtang Pass (3979 m) separates lahaul and Spiti from Kullu Valley. Kunjum Pass (4590 m) separates Lahaul and Spiti from each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The valley is usually cut off from rest of the world for almost six months due to heavy snowfall.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although entry to Spiti from Shimla via Kinnaur is open throughout the year, but it is less advisable to visit during winters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In summers it can be reached via Manali through the Rohtang Pass and Kunjum Pass. Tourists from outside India need ‘inner line permit’ to enter Spiti through Kinnaur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 One may feel altitude sickness in Spiti due to the high altitude.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
