Giriganga trek started from-
Giriganga is the mouth of the river flowing from a mountain top lake. There is no road to the place, except an off road trail of about 7 Km from Kharapathar. Kharapathar is very scenic and beautifully located. You can spend days here climbing the small peaks in the area, such as Khuppar Top. The trek to Khuppar Top starts from Giri Ganga You can walk or you can take a small local car. The route gets muddy and slushy during rains and snowfall so be careful. Once you reach Giri Ganga you forget about the hair-raising drive. This is a small alpine valley with pine and deodar forests.

Trek started from delhi-Shimla –kufri valley –Faguvalley-Theog-chhaila-kotkhai-kharapathar-giriganga 7 km from kharapathar.
- Delhi to Shimla by car or Volvo (350 Kms). Around 9 to10 hour’s journey.
- Shimla to Kharapathar by rent a car,rent a scooty, rent a bike,taxi or local HRTC bus (74.8kms ). Around 3-4 hours journey. If you want to enjoy valley views, you can hire bike, car from Shivay Bike rental lakkar bazaar shimla, in winters rent Gypsy and Thar For snow experience. Also rent tent for camping.
- Kharapathar to Giri Ganga by car or Hike (7 kms). Around 1 hour by car or a 3 hours hike
